Archer C5400 New firmware 1.2.5 reduce WAN connectivity from 930MB/s to 220 MB/s in 3 days
Few days ago my router showed that there's a new versin exists (I was on 1.2.2) I updagaded and everything was fine, but I noticed that connectivity is slow, so I checked the spee (speedtest / fast.com) and saw 200Mb/s. Discussed this with provider and they told me that don't see any problem, so I rebooted the router and reboot helped.
So, seems that new firmware version has regression that cause to the router to reduce speed overt the time.
Think twice before installing it.

A whole day passed, and the support remained silent about the problem ... No options for patched software versions! Moreover, she continues to distribute problematic firmware further ..... This all shows what is happening in the company at the moment! Just some emotions from such a disgrace!

@Kevin_Z I had a problem with the latest beta firmware - Wi-Fi speed is underestimated. For example, on the firmware (Archer C5400 (EU) _V2_170912) the speed on Wi-Fi is about 605/533 Mbit / s, and on beta the speed is 345/316 Mbit / s. On LAN, the beta speed does not decrease and corresponds to the tariff. So the problem on the last beta is only with Wi-Fi. I hope this problem is fixed in the next firmware version. While rolling back to the latest adequate firmware version Archer C5400 (EU) _V2_170912.

@Iazigi I have no problems working on LAN on beta firmware - everything is fine. It’s just that I have a 1 Gigabit tariff and the Wi-Fi speed is not on beta - about 500-600 megabits. When I install beta firmware, the maximum Wi-Fi speed drops to 300 Mbps. Moreover, through LAN, the speed corresponds to the tariff. When I return to the previous version of the firmware, the speed is again on the order of 500-600 Megabits. If you do not have a high-speed tariff, perhaps you simply don’t notice a decrease in Wi-Fi speed, since it stably stays in the 300 Megabit range. But at a high-speed tariff - a decrease in speed is noticeable.

The problem with the decrease in Wi-Fi speed on the last beta is still relevant! Problems with LAN speed were not noticed - the speed is according to the tariff (I have a 1 Gigibit tariff) I returned again to the Archer C5400 (EU) _V2_170912 firmware - there are no problems with the speed reduction on it! I checked several times installing the beta and again returned to the previous version of the firmware.
