Archer AX6000 5Ghz stops working after app. 1 day
Hi,
I just bought a Archer AX6000 router. I'm having trouble with the 5 Ghz band. After a clean start up of the router the 5Ghz works fine. I have laptop, 2 phones and a tablet that can all connect to it. But after a day or so the connection is lost and I can't reconnect. The 5Ghz network is intermittend down. So, when scanning for networks sometimes the 5Ghz network is visible, but then dissapears again. This happens on all 4 devices, which make believe that the origin of the problem is with the router.
In a wifi analyzer app I see the same thing. The 5Ghz network is there, and then it isn't. Then it's back again and then it's gone again.
I updated the firmware to the latest available version, which is version 1.0.6.
Any ideas on how to solve this? Or should I return it?

Automatic channel selection still does not work. I still have failures with the 5G.
Manually on 160 Mhz and channel 44.
That's how it works to some extent.

Just bought this router to try an extend a Virgin Media Superhub 3.0 range
Firmware 1.1.1
ios clients dropping out a lot of 5ghz, changed the settings on both channels to...
Seems to have worked so far
Cant use ax channels as it constantly drops out. A bit pointless buying a AX router that doesnt work with AX switched on. I might return it

I have found the best solution to these wifi issues from TP-Link after the firware upgrade.
Turned off the WiFi on my $500 WiFi 6 state-of-the-art router and plugged in my 10 year old $30 WiFi AP. WiFi has been stable all day!
Seriously TP-Link, get your act together.

@broxtor I was having issues connecting the the routers 5g also after a day or so. I reset the router to back to factory. Going through the settings I left 5g in aes security. I was using tkip before because I replaced an old router that only had tkip. I didnt want to go to each device and re enter the password initally. Now on aes security I have not had an issue for 7 days.
