Archer AX6000 5Ghz stops working after app. 1 day
Hi,
I just bought a Archer AX6000 router. I'm having trouble with the 5 Ghz band. After a clean start up of the router the 5Ghz works fine. I have laptop, 2 phones and a tablet that can all connect to it. But after a day or so the connection is lost and I can't reconnect. The 5Ghz network is intermittend down. So, when scanning for networks sometimes the 5Ghz network is visible, but then dissapears again. This happens on all 4 devices, which make believe that the origin of the problem is with the router.
In a wifi analyzer app I see the same thing. The 5Ghz network is there, and then it isn't. Then it's back again and then it's gone again.
I updated the firmware to the latest available version, which is version 1.0.6.
Any ideas on how to solve this? Or should I return it?

@mcanet That's sad. Apparently it's a hardware defect.
I was pretty satisfied with Archer C7 for so many years and now looking for something future proof for a new house. You cannot even buy a #$#$% expensive stuff nowadays that is JUST $#%#%# WORKING

@peepoSad I normal company will contact all customers and replace this devices for some that will work properly for a 300 euros devide. But TP-link really I found out that really they not care.

Too bad you can not set the firmware back to beta 1.0.8.
I have now manually set the frequency to 80 Hz and the channel to 44 in 5 GHz.
Seems to run a little more stable.
These settings went well with beta 1.0.8.

had something similar with an asus router. unable to go backward with firmware.
eventually tech came out with a method. It was restore router to factory settings then via a combination of button presses it cleared the memory.
Don't know if such a thing exists for this router. It was called an engineering reset.

So after 3 days of troubleshooting and headaches. I got the 5ghz working, then the printer wouldn't connect. Got both of those hooked up and working. Yeah, right?! Nah, ran a speed test on the 5g line, was only hitting 80mbs. Switched over to 2.4, was hitting 140. Then went back to my old router on 5g and was hitting 180+. They still have issues with 802.11ax, I tried it last year before I bought my current router. Thought the router was the majority of my other problem, but found out it is the internet provider in the area having connectivity issues. Long story short, this router still has issues when connected. Tried a new network adapter also, and on multiple different systems in the house.

This morning when I turned on the router, the settings were all gone again.
Wifi password name all gone.
This is the third time.
This can not go on like this anymore.
Finally make software that works.
This hiring is a lot of work.
That is an impertinence !!!

@Dariusz According to newer software, it is not possible to go back to the old version.
