Archer AX6000 5Ghz stops working after app. 1 day
Hi,
I just bought a Archer AX6000 router. I'm having trouble with the 5 Ghz band. After a clean start up of the router the 5Ghz works fine. I have laptop, 2 phones and a tablet that can all connect to it. But after a day or so the connection is lost and I can't reconnect. The 5Ghz network is intermittend down. So, when scanning for networks sometimes the 5Ghz network is visible, but then dissapears again. This happens on all 4 devices, which make believe that the origin of the problem is with the router.
In a wifi analyzer app I see the same thing. The 5Ghz network is there, and then it isn't. Then it's back again and then it's gone again.
I updated the firmware to the latest available version, which is version 1.0.6.
Any ideas on how to solve this? Or should I return it?

@Kevin_Z I wanted to report back that the issue was being cause by my QoS settings (thanks for suggesting I look there). For some reason, the bandwidth setting was incorrect so once I corrected the speeds were back to fast - thank you!
There is still an issue I would say with not being able to flash earlier versions of the firmware but it's not critical for me since this version is working well now. I just need to avoid updating in the future...

@sansnil are you getting consistent performance from 5ghz now?

I used the beta firmware before this release 1.1.0 (since october 2019) otherwise I lost 5ghz connection in less than 24 hours but with this release it seems to be good ! After one week and I stay connected to the 5ghz, so I think it's fixed now...finally after many months of waiting ! :)
I have done some speed tests and they were good too, so I'm now satisfied with this router.

Sorry for any frustration caused if there is, the officially released firmware is a stable tested version, please don't worry about it.

When you mean 'everything was set back to the factory setting', does it mean all the configuration on the router has been lost and there is no internet at all? Or it is just some special setting that has been changed?
Kindly provide more details and we will soon check to fix it if there is an issue.

@Solla-topee The v1.1.0 firmware seemed to work, but I'm still having problems with network interruptions... The SSID itself is displayed, but it doesn't seem to connect to the Internet.

Hello,
Do you encounter no internet access issue when devices connected to the wireless connection of the AX6000? Can you please help confirm below:
1. When the wireless connection stops working, how about the LAN connection, do you still have internet access on the wired connected devices? How about the LED on the router, is it solid blue?
2. Please kindly check and ensure the modem from ISP is working stably or the times.
3. How many devices are connected to the AC6000? When the internet stops, are all devices having no internet access or only some specific devices?
4. When the internet stops on the AX6000, can you please send us the system log before you restart it?
Thanks a lot for your cooperation and we will try to investigate further once we have more info.

Guys, sincerely talking, I think that everyone who is still experiencing issues while using 5GHz network have bought a deffective router. Since the first firmware change I have experienced no isses at all. I don't know if TPLink is using different hardware to different continents/countries, but if they are using the same hardware, could pretty much be a deffective sample or batch.
This firmware https://static.tp-link.com/2019/201912/20191205/ax6000v1_us-up-ver1-0-7-P2[20191203-rel80781]_beta_2019-12-04_11.36.21.zip , posted by @Kevin_Z last year, worked for me with 0 conexion issues. I recently upgraded the firmware to the 1.1.0 Build 20200427 rel.80857, first I downloaded some newest version at the time on the TPLink website and then, got OTA upgrade to this version. Although there are some issues in this version, like the Traffic Monitor feature reporting usage on the next day when its past 12h (yes, time settings is correct), I have no issues with connectitivy, with 5 devices using 5Ghz, other 5 using 2.4Ghz.
