Archer AX6000 5Ghz stops working after app. 1 day
Hi,
I just bought a Archer AX6000 router. I'm having trouble with the 5 Ghz band. After a clean start up of the router the 5Ghz works fine. I have laptop, 2 phones and a tablet that can all connect to it. But after a day or so the connection is lost and I can't reconnect. The 5Ghz network is intermittend down. So, when scanning for networks sometimes the 5Ghz network is visible, but then dissapears again. This happens on all 4 devices, which make believe that the origin of the problem is with the router.
In a wifi analyzer app I see the same thing. The 5Ghz network is there, and then it isn't. Then it's back again and then it's gone again.
I updated the firmware to the latest available version, which is version 1.0.6.
Any ideas on how to solve this? Or should I return it?

I am experiencing the exact same issue.
This is infuriating, really, especially considering the price of this thing.
Sometimes it used to help if I renamed both access points (2 & 5), changed passwords and basically started from scratch. It doesn't help now, though.
The router updated its firmware a couple of weeks ago, and I think it has gotten worse since then. When I'm on 5Ghz it suddenly cannot access any sites, and if you disconnect from WiFi and try to reconnect later it says "incorrect password" and won't join anymore.
Will this ever be fixed or should I look for another router??

@Pelicashka - You should first try the beta firmware that others mention. With that said, it seems they are struggling on actually fixing the issue.

I'm not sure I want to be a beta-tester. I work from home, and if I lose access to the Internet, I am screwed, so I'd rather not risk it and wait until the next update.

@Pelicashka the bèta is so much more stable then all the other firmwares.

It may be a dumb question, but why doesn't the newly released (March 2020) firmware address the issue, but Dec 2019 beta firmware does?
