Archer AX6000 5Ghz stops working after app. 1 day
Hi,
I just bought a Archer AX6000 router. I'm having trouble with the 5 Ghz band. After a clean start up of the router the 5Ghz works fine. I have laptop, 2 phones and a tablet that can all connect to it. But after a day or so the connection is lost and I can't reconnect. The 5Ghz network is intermittend down. So, when scanning for networks sometimes the 5Ghz network is visible, but then dissapears again. This happens on all 4 devices, which make believe that the origin of the problem is with the router.
In a wifi analyzer app I see the same thing. The 5Ghz network is there, and then it isn't. Then it's back again and then it's gone again.
I updated the firmware to the latest available version, which is version 1.0.6.
Any ideas on how to solve this? Or should I return it?

@Kevin_Z I am having the same problem. Worked great for about 2 weeks & now it's slow & we have about 10 devices & half the time it will only allow 3 or 4 on 2.4 and most of them won't let on at all.
if it helps when I was trying to figure the mess out, it would not take the password I set up for this site. But would take the password for my router for this app. For this though I was able to use the password for the site.
something is definitely going on.
I am upset b/c I just saw the box to return this in the garage & asked my husband to throw it out. Thought it worked fine.
actually the last few days we have seen no difference between this and the router we had for 8 years.
I want to love this.

@Anick996i manually selected a 5ghz channel ie avoid auto. Good now. Try it and see.

There's a new firmware update 1.1.0 available via the Thether app. I am in Russia, so I guess Europe is a go. Let's see how it performs.

I had the same issue with the password. First it dropped all devices (about 15) on my network 2.4gh over the weekend and I had to reboot the router. Then some of the devices would not auto connect due to password not being accepted. No matter what I did it would not take the password the was set up in the router. I re-entered the same password on the router and then rebooted. Went back into the devices that could not handshake with the router and had to do a "forget network" then re-enter the same password again.
This router is garbage and TP LINK has no help. It's all bandaids. Pathetic how a company like this can still be in business.

I foolishly updated to 1.1.0 Build 20200427 rel.80857(5553) and noticed speeds dropped SIGNIFICANTLY.
I went to try to downgrade by manually flashing an older firmware and now I can't revert to any other firmware manually, I see this:
Has anyone else lost the ability to change fw's?
