Should I upgrade to AV2000?
Hi there,
I am currently using an AV500 powerline adapter and getting speeds of 80mpbs max. Connected directly with an ethernet cable to my computer. I am on a Gigabit internet connection but it seems like that is the max I'll get out of my power outlet. Main adapter is connected to an AX11000.
I'm not sure if upgrading to the AV2000 will help in this matter or will I be dissapointed with the purchase?

It is hard to guarantee that due to the variables; while what we can tell you is that the AV500 has the 100Mbps ports, the current bandwidth is gigabit, except AV2000, there are many other choices, including 7/8/9 series, AV1000, AV1200 or so. They all have the gigabit ethernet ports.
And cause the current actual speed you can get from the AV500 is 80Mbps, compared with the 100Mbps ethernet ports, it seems fine; so you can order a gigabit powerline adapters to test its performance; and due to the potential loss, you can verify the return/warranty policy first, if it did not work as expected, you may return it.

The AV500 Powerline Kit is equipped with Fast Ethernet (10/100Mbps) ports. If you have a Gigabit Internet connection, the AV2000, which is equipped with Gigabit Ethernet ports, will allow for a higher bandwidth capabilities. Please note that Powerline data transfer rates will vary due to network environment variables including: distance between adapters, network traffic, noise on electrical wires, building material and construction, quality of electrical installation and other adverse conditions.
For best results with any Powerline kit, please ensure both Powerline adapters are plugged directly into wall outlets - no surge protectors or power strips as these will directly interfere with the connection. We recommend following the suggestions outlined in our FAQ here to help optimize the performance of your Powerline connection: http://www.tp-link.com/us/faq-409.html
