I recently bought the AX6000 to replace a netgear R7000.

The AX6000 has about 1/3 the range about 1/8 the through put.

I have it net AP mode.

It's so bad I can't even watch youtube 480p from 10m away.

AX on a killer 1650 is also barely better than AC on the R7000.

I have tried:

- changing it's location

- smart connect off/on

- antennas at different angles

- upside down

I thnk I have defective unit but it's hard to exchange, as it all seems to work fine w/ 4 bars (not 5 like all my other routers) but through put is awful, almost unuseable unless your within 3 meters.

Even the free modem/router my ISP gives away is MUCH faster.

My testing is also against a directly RJ45 NAS.

What can I do?
