Hello guys,
Is it possible to create a network with a different SSID and password from the WIFI I want to repeat so that my Chromecast won't appear on people connected to the main WIFI?
I don't want other people at my home to be able to cast to my Chromecast. (That little cast symbol on youtube app appears to other people)

For your information, you can create the different SSID for the repeater, while the password cannot be customized, it must be the same as the main router's wifi.
If you do not want to other people to cast to your chromecast, you can enable the guest network for them and enable " Not allow devices connected to the guest network to access the host network".

Thanks for the reply. Sadly, I have no control over the router, or the other people.
I'll just create a new SSID for me apartment and block other people MAC Addresses, if they enter my network. I can do that, right?

Hey, i just set up my new device. But, while I am connected to the new Wi-Fi (from the repeater), I can still cast to my chromecast which is connected to the source Wi-Fi. How do I disable this?
Also, after resetting my chromecast and connecting it to the new Wi-fi, it says I can't connect to it.
What options should I activate on the main router?

Cause you do not want other devices cast the chromecast with them connected to the extender, you can block their internet access;
To do that, you can enable mac filtering or access control feature to allow specific clients to access internet from the extender.
The instruction I mentioned is the necessities you need notice when you enter the MAC address of the clients.

What I am asking is: Can I connect all my devices to the new extender, including my phone, and not have people on the main network not be able to cast to my chromecast?
I just want to know if this is possible.
