Model: Archer T1U
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Just purchased the AC450 but it doesn't detect teh WiFI from a ASUS RT-AC68U Dual Band router.

The problem seems to be specific to this router as I tested the device on a different router and it worked.

The machine I need the device for is a Windows 7 one, but I also tried it on a Windows 10 machine with same results.

Any ideas?

Thanks for your updates. The Archer T1U should be working fine from your description.

Have you ever tried to change the wireless channel of the ASUS router? Like channel 36, 40 or 44.

@Kevin_Z

Thanks for your advice; this solved the problem. The channel control was set to Auto and was using 149. I set it manually to 40 and the card started to work.

Would you know which channel values this card is supposed to work with?

Again, thanks for helping me to solve this problem.

Please go to computer management-device manager-network adapter to check the device status of the Archer T1U by double click it. And can it detect other wireless networks? Meanwhile, the Archer T1U supports 5GHz only, try to change the wireless channel of the main router's 5GHz to give it a go.

@Kevin_Z

Device manager shows the device working properly and it is working. WHen I take the machine to a place with a different router, it detects the network.

However, in the room where the ASUS  RT-AC68U is located it doesn't detect it.

The ASUS is a dual band and is working properly. With another laptop I can see both networks (2.4 and 5.0 GHZ) and I can connect to both without problems.

@isb21

Glad to hear that you figured it out finally. Congrats.

For the channel supported by the Archer T1U, it varies due to the different countries/districts.

Best regards.
