@Olafmol

Hi, All!

Currently, we have a beta firmware for Deco M5 which could help satellite Deco to find the best uplink Deco and optimize its signal source.

So the beta firmware might improve the issue Deco is not getting signal source from the nearest Deco

And if anyone with more than three Deco M5, was suffering from this issue and wanted to test the beta firmware, please leave me a private message with the following information:

  1.  the network structure about how each Deco is connected;

(if possible, please help us mark their relative distance)

PS: the beta firmware would be updated via web UI and could be reverted back to the official firmware.

Thank you very much for your cooperation and wait for your reply.

Update:

Hi, Thank you for all your concerns.

We have the beta firmware for the following models which added a new network optimization feature and can help to optimize the network map of the Deco system.:

Deco M5, Deco M9 Plus, and Deco X60;

Please feel free to send me a private message if you want to test the beta firmware;

Thanks a lot and wait for your reply.

@TP-Link Hi there - just read about the Beta for the M5. Will a Beta for the X60 also soon be available for testing?

Cheers

I´ve just updated my deco M5 to 1.5.1 Build 200201022, but my 3rd deco persists to connect on Main Deco (1st). How can I force my 3rd deco to connect on the 2nd because it is closer?

One more datatil: I´ve used the option "network optimization" but apparently nothings happens. My 3rd deco continues connected on the 1st.

@TP-Link this is ridiculous... seriously.

Just simplify! STOP trying to be clever about it and just give us the option to manually select the link between decos.

Stop fooling around, look at the size of this mf thread, really!

@ItsBrunoJ +1 for a manual selection.

This is really crazy, my M5 selects the main deco (M9) 15 meters away while a closer one is available (4 meters away). It took me literally one minute to Google and find this topic with people who have similar issues I think that says enough. surprise

@TP-Link

I've read 11 pages of people rightfully frustrated and complaining. I've also tried all of the suggestions, only to find that none work. I just bought two (3pack) sets of these and am wondering, would it simply be easier to return them and go with another brand or do you plan on supporting your customers any time soon? If so, when can we expect a firmware update?
