Wifi Signals Are Strong But Internet Is too much slow
Hi,
I need help to investigate problem related to my TP link router
My Investigation:
1) i have tested cable with cable tester (its perfect)
2) When i use cable with another wifi router internet works perfectly.
3) when i connect tplink router internet browsing is too much slow and most of the time router does not connect by hitting "192.168.0.1"
most of the time when router is connected i get "You have no authority to access this router!"
4) I have tried to turn off firewall, but no use.
Please suggest me right settings or tutorial to investigate it.
it seems like configuration issue but experts can guide me better.
any help would be really appreciated.

What do you mean the internet is too much slow?
Who is your ISP and what is the bandwidth you pay for them?
WIth computer connected to the TL-WR940N by wired cable and wireless, what is the speed you can get separately?
When you failed to access the web UI of the router, please show us a screenshot of the error message.
In the meantime, try to ping the gateway of the router, which is 192.168.0.1 by default. Try to access it with the domain name as well, which is tplinkwifi.net.
Thanks in advance, and have a nice day.

Is your firmware up todate? Do you get these slow speeds with the device near the router? Also you can try reseting the router to factory specs and reenter your settings as that may help.

@umma
With computer connected to the router, try to ping the gateway, which is 192.168.0.1 and show us the screenshots.
Have you ever tried to change another web browser or device to access the web UI with the gateway?
For the wireless speed, please verify that the wireless negotiation speed is normal; below is the instruction to find it: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2265/
Then you can change some wireless settings to optimize its performance, including wireless channel and channel width, like channel 1 and 6, channel width 40MHz.
What is more, please ensure that the firmware is up to date.
Best regards.

Hi,
When i connect Tplink router it gives me 1-2mbps speed when i connect new router it gives me 50mbps speed.
-I tried to change channel width 40MHz (did not help)
-different browser also tried (did not help)
- I dont know either my firmware is uptodate please have a look at my firmware version that i have mention in the start of this post.
I ended up replacing this device with D-Link router. whatever you suggested did not help.
I apologies but tplink really disappointed me and wasted lots of time.

From the firmware you mentioned, it should be the latest one already.

While cause the other router works fine, to solve your problem quickly, you can contact the tech support and verify whether a replacement is qualified.
