Thanks Fusic! I'm confirming for anyone with doubts that the link is correct. I received the same link from Kevin a week ago. It's puzzling that the TP Link guys haven't posted it somewhere, but the non conspiracy theorist in me says there is probably something off about it. That this is why it hasn't been released. The annoyed consumer part of me wonders why this beta has taken so long (June) to get polished out enough to come out as a stable release?

@havocwreaker

Exactly!

By the way, do you have more than 770-780 Mbps download speed? It seems that with this firmware i get capped around these numbers ( not like the previous one in which i had 380 max... ) I know this is a beta but still, as you said, why is it taking them so long?

The firmware, still needs work! This router should be able to output speeds closer to 1000 Mbps ( if you have a gigabit connection ) and i know that the speeds depend on the provider too but without this router i get almost 940 to 980 download speed, so this is why i'm so triggered...

Hope we get a fix soon coes if not, i'll have to return it and buy something else.

Thanks for the replys guys and i hope, maybe we get some updates on the stable firmware state.

I'll just repeat what I wrote a few posts above, namely that with the beta I now get the full 940 down/60 up that I should be getting. All speed testers that I've used confirm this, with one exception - the router's own built-in SpeedTest.

Thank you for the link. This firmware works much better. I am still not seeing 100-110MB/s speeds that I used to see with my C5400 -- instead of see ~90-95MB/s with this one; however the speed no longer drops now as I have been running this for close to a week now without reboot and speed is still consistent. If there is a newer version that addresses the max speed issue, please le me know as I would be happy to test it and report back.

@Kevin_Z

Here are some before and after router rebout screenshots. My download speeds from battlenet are never that good anyways but you can see my speeds are doubled almost. I have to reboot my router every 2 days or so or else my speeds are limited to about 300Mbps

And what does the "best gaming PC in India" have to do with the C5400X speed issue?

Could someone please clear up this spam-infested thread?
