Hello, sorry to tell you that there is no plan to add this feature on Archer A9 yet, while we will keep an eye on this specific request. Below is the onemesh compatibility you can refer to:
https://www.tp-link.com/onemesh/compatibility/
Meanwhile, may I know when and where did you buy it? Have you ever read any datasheet or information post on the official website before you bought it?
Besides, to solve your issue, you can contact the retailer to verify whether you can return it or change another router, like Archer A7 which supports onemesh already.
Good day.

Hi, thanks for all of your kind suggestions and support.
This will be forwarded as a feature request to our developers for consideration, they will evaluate and feasibility, while whether the A9 will support Onemesh or not will depend on its hardware and firmware, so we hope you could understand it.
Thank you again for your feedback.

any updates on this? There was a reason why people buy more powerfull device (a9) instead of a7, and in all reviews it was marked as a feature which will arrive there as well

@MTECH I agree with what Andriy888 wrote. I recently chose the A9 because it seemed to be a better router. Seeing that you had the OneMesh project building, I just ASSUMED you'd be including the A9. It would disappoint me greatly if there wasn't an A9 firmware update to support OneMesh. It seems to be a natural progression for households/small businesses as WiFi becomes more and more ubiquitous.
Please +1 me on the formal request to add this to the A9 models. Thanks!

I have recently bought A9, it was a good router and it satisfied all of my needs. Almost.
when a lower end model like A7, A6 are supporting One mesh i was under the impression that A9 would support too.
This is a sad surprise that you do not have any plans. I regret my purchase.
Please keep us posted if you guys change your minds.

I bought this router Archer A9 (V6) with the information from the seller, that "this feature - Onemesh is coming soon", so that it will come the firmware update "soon" which will add the feature.
No wonder that I'm a bit dissapointed of your answer... :-(
Do you know, what is about the chance?
I do prefer A9 to A7 mainly because of "beamforming" or the higher power, how also others mention here...

Yes please give Onemesh support to the A9. I'm shocked that the A7 has this feature and the higher end A9 does not!
