It was really important tho have choice for separate frequency.

Too many cheap smart device work only on 2.4ghz.

  @Sartack

just set the 2.4 up as a guest network and you will have no issues.

Hi eslick!Thank you a lot for your ideas~

@Sartack, at the same time, it is suggested to have a look at this link:

Does Deco support separate 2.4GHz and 5GHz SSIDs?

we have explained why we did not support separate SSIDs and what you can do when you had issues with one network,

Please let me know if you have any further concerns.

Thank you.

Best regards.

  @David-TP In reality many devices tend to always switch between 2.4GHz and 5GHz. I mean like, always, there's no fix for it except having a separated network for 5ghz. This happens all the time with my phone - i can stay on one place, grab my phone to check things fast and then there’s no internet because phone decides to switch from 2.4 band to 5ghz one, or vice versa. Happens every time and it’s freaking annoying.

what did side are you having the deco should give you the best signal that is available that's the point. The issues here are mainly those devices like smart plugs, old Sanos devices or printers that only do 2.4.
