Archer C6 2.4G band stops working, disable then enable restores
Recently purchased Archer C6 Router running the latest firmware. On 4 occasions the 2.4G WiFi band has stopped working, devices can connect to it but get no network access. Disabling and enabling the 2.4G band on the admin interface restores the connectivity, the 5G band is not affected, a device connected to it is used to reset the 2.4G band.
I used the chat support service to discuss the issue and the suggestion was to change from automatic to a fixed channel for the 2.4G band, this appeared to resolve the issue but it has happened again today, a phone which only works on 2.4G was showing the WIFI as access denied.
is there anything else I can do to resolve this issue.

We all need is:
1. Either TP-Link admits the issue with the router is hardware related, cannot be fixed and we all can get a refund from the retailers
2. Or a stable firmware is released ASAP! Really ASAP!

Yes but the problem is not just with my C6... just the opposite - many users had already reported the same... months ago!
The router really behaves strangely - sometimes is stable for few days... this morning it dropped me twice!

This issue does seem to also affect A6 routers. For some reason I seem to be lucky with my C6 but I am certainly not going to update the firmware just in case I acquire the issue. I am still running the first firmware that fixed the issue of the router changing the WiFi channel after a reboot.

@Kevin_Z why is tp link taking so long to fix the basic need of a router... You can strip all advanced features to start with atleast give us some basic level firmware with which 2.4ghz and 5ghz works... 2.4ghz is very much needed and today that itself doesn't work?! How long are you expecting us to wait?
Can you not give a temporary firmware with basic 2.4ghz and 5 ghz working at the least?

I just tested the beta version (ArcherC6v2_eu-up-ver1-3-6-P1[20200611-rel33480].bin) proposed by TP-Link as explained some posts above (#447) supposedly solving the bug and unfortunately, just 1 day after, the 2.4Ghz was unavailable on my devices.
So go back to the ArcherC6v2_eu-up-ver1-3-0-P1[20200402-rel52000].bin the most stable version I have tested with my router settings.

I think it dépends on the hardware or region, I don't know, but on mine, 1.3.0 crashes after few hours ans the one i posted, works perfectly for the moment
