Archer C6 2.4G band stops working, disable then enable restores
Recently purchased Archer C6 Router running the latest firmware. On 4 occasions the 2.4G WiFi band has stopped working, devices can connect to it but get no network access. Disabling and enabling the 2.4G band on the admin interface restores the connectivity, the 5G band is not affected, a device connected to it is used to reset the 2.4G band.
I used the chat support service to discuss the issue and the suggestion was to change from automatic to a fixed channel for the 2.4G band, this appeared to resolve the issue but it has happened again today, a phone which only works on 2.4G was showing the WIFI as access denied.
is there anything else I can do to resolve this issue.

The real problem for me is that due the Covid-19, I have to work from home more often now. Dropping the connection is the last thing I'd want during an online meeting e.g.
I also have the C7 for like 2 years and it has always been a great performer so far, unlike the C6...
I hope TP-Link realize that a bad experience with a product of theirs could have a great impact on their clients! One could just easily ignore and forget the entire brand in future. I did like this with DLink in the past - never buy a product or recommend to a friend or colleague.
And the market out there is full of alternatives, luckily...
TP-Link, please, speed up fixing the issue!

Update: 7 days since I used channel 1 as the wi-fi channel. All 5 of my C6 routers' 2.4ghz did not crash/hang.
This was recommended by TP-Link Malaysia support

@DaryllD I always use channel 11 on mine... not working for me.
The WiFi drop may occur sometimes 3-4 times a day, then it may happen 2 days later. But it is there and annoys me.

No matter the settings my C6 V2 EU doesn't work with one device on 2.4 GHz with 1.3.x firmware, while other routers (tp-link WR841, ASUS RT-N10) work with the same device (on 2.4 GHz) perfect.

@Kubas I used channels 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 spread throughout the house and it always crashed.

Tried Channel 1 with 40 MHz Bandwidth and the 2.4 GHz. The problem persists.
I can also confirm that there is also an issue with QoS on 5 GHz band. When QoS is enabled, my HP notebook suddenly looses Internet traffic even though it remains connected to the WiFi Router. The issue doesn't get resolved either by disabling QoS or by disabling/enabling the 5GHz band. It only gets fixed after restarting the router.
Anybody else faced a similar issue?

@Lahiri A small correction - seems like Channel 1 on 2.4 GHz band is working fine with 40 MHz bandwidth. But the QoS setting is faulty and things are stable (fingers crossed) for the past 3-4 days.

For me I haven't crashed ever since I set the channel width to 40Mhz and also no more "Password incorrect" errors. It's been like this for many weeks now. So I am assuming setting the width to 40Mhz is the solution.
