Archer C6 2.4G band stops working, disable then enable restores
Recently purchased Archer C6 Router running the latest firmware. On 4 occasions the 2.4G WiFi band has stopped working, devices can connect to it but get no network access. Disabling and enabling the 2.4G band on the admin interface restores the connectivity, the 5G band is not affected, a device connected to it is used to reset the 2.4G band.
I used the chat support service to discuss the issue and the suggestion was to change from automatic to a fixed channel for the 2.4G band, this appeared to resolve the issue but it has happened again today, a phone which only works on 2.4G was showing the WIFI as access denied.
is there anything else I can do to resolve this issue.

It did crash on the very same day I started using it. Since then - no crashes at all... (1.3.6 Build 20200804 rel.59384(4555)). Oh, and I never used Guest Network (always disabled).

@Kubas I have now started to believe that the issue might be something to do with TP link cloud. Because even though I am on the same 1.3.5 firmware of 30th Jun, my 2.5 GHz band hasn't caused issues over the past 1 week. Anybody else also on the same boat as mine?

@Lahiri it's related to encryption. One of my clients log shows "encryption timout" errors when it happens. The strangest thing that even if there is no encryption enabled the bug still persists.

@Wetterhahn Yes that makes sense, because when the devices disconnect the 2.4 GHz band shows up but it's just that the devices are denied access. Which essentially should be encryption related.

The throughput in the 2.4Ghz band is completely mucked. Not to mention the jitter is way damn high from time to time which tells that the band is definitely not stable.
I have found out that it has something to do with encryption(?) As soon as I switch the encryption from Auto to TKIP/AES or vice versa, the issue gets fixed temporarily but the throughput is still garbage, however high jitter goes away and the connection becomes quite stable.

@Kubas Hello, I'm on the exact same firmware and having the same issue, but I actually have Guest network turned on for 2.4ghz band.
Can you do me a favor and turn on guest network and see if the 2.4ghz hanging issue reappears?
