Archer C6 2.4G band stops working, disable then enable restores
Recently purchased Archer C6 Router running the latest firmware. On 4 occasions the 2.4G WiFi band has stopped working, devices can connect to it but get no network access. Disabling and enabling the 2.4G band on the admin interface restores the connectivity, the 5G band is not affected, a device connected to it is used to reset the 2.4G band.
I used the chat support service to discuss the issue and the suggestion was to change from automatic to a fixed channel for the 2.4G band, this appeared to resolve the issue but it has happened again today, a phone which only works on 2.4G was showing the WIFI as access denied.
is there anything else I can do to resolve this issue.

I recently brought C6 EU V2 and I am facing problem with “turning off” wireless.
YES, everybody wants to keep connection ON I wanted OFF.
When is off , the wireless network is switch ON repetitive for limited time without SSID and on Full power. 2.4 Ghz on every 2 minutes is ON for 30-40 seconds. 5 Ghz on every minute is ON for 10 seconds. Same on version 1.3.5 and 1.3.7
I did not check the original version, I was hurry to have “wireless schedule” …. Big mistake…
Reading forum for solution, it seams this behavior come with OneMesh.
Can somebody provide me an old firmware, 1.0.x or 1.1.x

2 Weeks without any problems on 1.3.5 until now :(
Same problem as before. Lost communication with all my 2.4 GHz devices. 5 GHz still fine.

Hi,
I am new to this forum. But I already had TP Link router and recently upgraded to Archer C6. Having the same wifi connectivity problem with the router. Getting the issues daily once. When I switch off the router for a minute it works and issue continues. Do we have a permanent fix? As I could see many threads on similar issue.
Apologies if it is not the right thread as I see many responses in this thread.

Hi all,
Just want to let you know I'm having the same problems.
As I can see on my wifi-analyzer 2.4Ghz signal completely dissapears, comes back on air after +/- 2 minutes but clients can not reconnect, dissapears again, comes back.. and so one for +/- 4 minutes after that it stays on air but clients can't connect.
Wired clients and clients on 5Ghz keep on working without problems when this happens.
There is nothing in the log when this happens.
I'm now running 1.3.7 Build 20200723 rel.33309 which seems a little bit more stable than previous versions, it keeps working up to one hour when the previous versions loses connections within 10 minutes.
I have usually up to 3 wired and 22 wireless clients connected at the same time.. disconnections happen when there is "heavy" use..
I tried so many tips and tricks I found on the forum like guest netwerk off, 5Ghz, off, channel width auto or 20 or 40, channel auto or fixed, changed passwords, SSID names many reboots and back to factory restore. Using address reservation for security cams with fixed ip adresses in network to rule out DHCP conflicts.
Rebooting or disabling 2.4 Ghz and enabling again brings 2.4Ghz back online.
Please let me know if you need more info.. And lots of succes with tackling this nasty bug!
