Archer C6 2.4G band stops working, disable then enable restores
Recently purchased Archer C6 Router running the latest firmware. On 4 occasions the 2.4G WiFi band has stopped working, devices can connect to it but get no network access. Disabling and enabling the 2.4G band on the admin interface restores the connectivity, the 5G band is not affected, a device connected to it is used to reset the 2.4G band.
I used the chat support service to discuss the issue and the suggestion was to change from automatic to a fixed channel for the 2.4G band, this appeared to resolve the issue but it has happened again today, a phone which only works on 2.4G was showing the WIFI as access denied.
is there anything else I can do to resolve this issue.

My router seems stable for the last couple of days but a new issue seems to have cropped up. Out of the 30 devices I have at home, a Xiaomi Mi5 phone has stopped connecting to the 5G band, which worked till yesterday. However other devices continue to connect to both bands and the Mi5 phone connects to the 2.4G band. Can't recollect what change in settings made this to happen or is this another new bug. The router feels like a can of worms 😭😂

The US version using 16mb i think cause it needs more space for more features which are specific and mandatory to US version like the encryption aes3 etc.

That is exactly what I thought. Different model would be given different name. In this case US version is propably just adapted to US market and regulations...

1.3.6 crashes again after a week... I already ordered replacement router and will be sending the c6 back to retailer to get the money back. That's it...

I have two C6 routers, bought few more for friends of mine - all of the routers have this issue.
I am planning to wait few more weeks and just return the router to the reseller and get a refund.
Can't beleive that TP-Link cannot solve the problem for months OR at least find a way to revert back to fully operational/non-problematic firmware...
