@HEECHAI

We will do some troubleshooting first and try to fix it.

1. What is the led status of the RE450 when it lost connection?

2. Can you access internet from it with wired connection? Please click here to check its IP address and default gateway at that time.

3. Meanwhile, can you get internet from the main router by wireless?

4. How far away between the main router and the RE450?

5. Try to move the RE450 closer to the main router and change its wireless settings, like wireless channel or channel width to give it a go.

Besides, below is a faq you can refer to: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2233/

1. The led status is blue when lost the connection.

2. I haven't try yet.

3. I can get the internet from the main router.

4. Around 10m between the main router to the RE450.

@HEECHAI

Thanks for your reply.

Per I said before, please check the IP and gateway of your computer with it connected to the RE450 to do further analysis.

Meanwhile, you can move the extender closer to the main router and optimize the wireless settings of main router to give it a go, like wireless channel or channel width.

What is more, please ensure that the firmware of RE450 is up to date.

Its the same with my RE300. If i reboot it, it works for a few hours, then says ip configuration failure. My device model does not have a port to check it. Also the main router works fine. The extender is in the router range. Kindly fix this issue as it looks like a software problem.

@Frost

Hello, what is the led status of the RE300 when it lost network connection?

Can you log into the web UI of the RE300 at that time? If so, please show us a screenshot of the status page when RE300 stops working.

Please ensure that the firmware of RE300 is up to date, and you can assign a static IP for it to give it a go.

May it help.

I have received a new device RE300 last week and it also has same issue. Not able to get IP address after a few hours. Status on extender is all lit up (shows as all working). We are not able to connect to the range extender itself to login to the web UI. Firmware is up to date. Did check for updates just now.

@akhilraavi I am exactly facing the same issue as described above.

Can someone please help us out? It is pretty inconvenient to keep restarting the device multiple times a day.
