Firmware Version:

I know that for most it's recommended to use Ethernet to connect to the internet.

What's the state of internal WIFI cards these days, though? I am looking to replace an old TP-Link with something that can at very least offer up 5ghz connectivity.

Can anyone shed some light on what to look for, how much you need to spend before you start wasting your money and what's going to give the best bang for your buck over the next couple years of changing WIFI standards?word counter VidMate Mobdro

802.11 b/g/n vs 802.11ac?

I've had some nightmare experiences in the past, so if i don't need to trek through dodgey driver sites to get it up and running on windows 10, that would be great.

Before considering anything you have to pick the best adapter with all the features built-in it. Like adaptability, pricing, connection speed everything.

In case you're hoping to hold the stupendous absolute under $100 go with the TP-LINK Archer T9E. Something else evaluated a smidgen more, the ASUS AC1900 PCI-E Adapter is our top pick. Both are evaluated for similar data transmission abilities for home so either should function admirably for your particular circumstance.

I have been utilizing the TP-LINK Archer T9E for a couple of months at this point and haven't had any issues with it. It was a simple overhaul and empowers me to get a solid sign from higher up in our 3,000 square foot home!

The T9E upholds Windows XP, 7, 8, and 8.1. It underpins both the 32-bit and 64-cycle renditions for every one of those working frameworks. Despite the fact that it's not constructed explicitly for Windows 10, you ought to have no issue getting it to work. You would just need to get the Windows 10 driver from their site.  Quite simple and easy.
