Model: Archer VR600
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: Archer VR600(EU)_V2_170504

Hi

I have had trouble connecting my Samsung TV to the Wi-Fi, everything else connects fine.

it is a : UE37ES6300 as far as I know it has never connected to this router (TV connected to my previous router)

Access controll is off.

IP and MAC binding is off.

It just says "Wireless network disconnected"

I have the right password.

When it is set to automatic settings it gets an ip of 169.254... and says IP auto setup failed

When I set to manual

ip address 192.168.1.159

subnet mask 255.255.255.0

gateway 192.168.1.1

DNS 8.8.8.8

Still says cannot connect to network, have tried different free IP's and my ISP's DNS server.  Everything else should be right.

It seems the DHCP server isn't working?

Thanks

Hi,

The VR600 works well with other devices, that means it is fine, the troubleshooting need to be done on the TV.

With static IP assigned, please try to ping the gateway of the router and show us the results.

And please test whether the devices in the same local network can access it.

Besides, it is suggested to contact the tech support of the TV to get some help cause they are more professional about their products.

Good day.

Do you mean put my TV's MAC address in the router and assign it a static ip?  I tried that and it still doesn't work, it never connects.  I have managed to connect the tv with a powerline ethernet cable, it normally goes into our satellite receiver though.

It's just odd that this is the only thing that won't connect to the router.  I even have a newer Samsung TV in my room that does connect.  Could the routers firewall stop it connecting or some other setting?

How do I ping the gateway of the router?  Just ping 192.168.1.1 ?  That looks fine from my PC, no packet loss.  I don't think I can ping from my TV?

I can live with the problem it's just strange and annoying really.

Hi,

What I mean is that with setup static IP on the TV itself, can you ping the gateway of the router from the TV? Or can you ping the TV from the computer in the same local network?

Have you ever contacted the tech support of the TV to get some help? Is there any settings need to be done on the router to make it work? Like the port forwarding.

Cause we are not familiar with the TV, it is recommended to contact their tech support to do further analysis.

Good day.
