Network speed question (AV2000)
Hello,
I'm thinking of buying the TL-WPA9610KIT starter kit. However, I think I might need an additional unit for another room in my house. I believe I can add a TL-WPA8630P to the network of the starter kit - is that right?
Given that that TL-WPA8630P offers lower speed (AV1300) than the original starter kit (AV2000), would adding this additional unit make the starter kit's network slower, or would the original pair maintain the AV2000 speed and only the added unit would have a lower speed?
Thanks.

Hi,
Per you said, you can add the TL-WPA8630 into the TL-WPA9610KIT, and the speed will be affected.
The powerline link speed between AV1300 and AV2000 will be limited by the AV1300, while the speed between the 2 AV2000 units will be affected a little.
May it help, and have a nice day.

Many thanks, Kevin_Z.
Another question then: is it possible to buy additional AV2000 units, so that adding more would have less impact on the speed than adding AV1300 units?
Or, would it be better, if I need to add more powerline adapters, to buy an additional starter kit (maybe an AV1300 kit) and have 2 separate networks? I could keep the AV2000 network for applications needing higher speeds, and put everything else on the AV1300. That would also mean I could buy more AV1300 units separately if needed.

Hi,
Both okay, additional AV2000 units would have less impact; or you can buy an AV1300kit but make separate networks from the AV2000;
Generally speaking the AV1300 is enough to handle the daily network applications, while if you worried about the side effect, you can take one from the current 2 choices.
Good day.
