I'm a late arrival to this thread, having only recently updated my laptop to Catalina. Was suddenly unable to use the TPplc app because of the 'osascript' message, but lukcily found this thread fairly quickly.

I've downloaded the beta version, and it seems to work OK, even if the 'confidential - only for test' wording is very distracting. But how bizarre that they're treating their Mac-user customer base so shabbily!

If I'm honest, I've found my TPLink experience to be frustrating from the start. I certainly wouldn't recommend their powerline devices to anybody else.
