Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 170103

Hello

I have tp-link td-w8961n(un) ver:2.0

I am facing some problems

When I enable bandwidth control on guest network the network stop in the guest network completely

Why ?

And another thing

I update the firmware for the same router but to ver 3 instead of ver 2

And  now when i try to upload the correct firmware the router reject the firmware

Hi,

 

What do you mean by the guest network stops working once you enabled the bandwidth control for it. More details or specific symptom will be better. 

 

Meanwhile, regarding to the firmware update, it must match the hardware version, otherwise it may damage the whole device. Besides it is against the warranty.

And there is no method to flash it back to the original one; 

 

While cause the firmware is for V3, not sure whether it is the root cause which affected the guest network. You can try to reboot or reset to give it a go.
