Hallo Mitglieder, 

Ich habe mir einen WR940N gekauft dieser sollte eine Übertragungsrate von 450 mbps Besitzen, ich erreiche aber nur eine w-lan Rate von unterirdischen 5mbps zum Vergleich mein alter Router ein WR841N (8 Jahre alt) schafft immer 50mbps. Ich habe bereits alle Kanäle durchgetestet aber es hilft alles nix. Wenn ich es mit Kabel benutzt bekomme ich 100mbps wie vertraglich geregelt. Hat jemand eine Idee woran das liegen kann. Habe die Plastikfolie von den Antennen nicht entfernt das ich ihn eventuell noch zurückgeben kann.

 

 

 

 

 

I bought an WR940N and I only get 5mbps WiFi connection, I tried all channels but it change nothing. With my old router WR841N (8 years old) I get 50mbps WiFi connection. With cable I get from both 100mbps. Somebody have an idea what can I do, I let the plastic on the antenna in case I bring it back , can this be the problem ?

Hello,

 

Who is your internet service provider and what is the current network topology? 

 

Without any devices connected, please connect one computer to the 940N by wireless  and go to speedtest to run the test for 3 times and show us the screenshots of the test results.

 

And please tell me the wireless link speed at that time, how to get that? You can refer to the below link.

Hello, 

 

the provider is Volia, network topology is just get cable from station in house and use one router for WiFi. I have a sped link from 100mbps , when I made a speed test with computer now I also get just 5mpbs when I connected him with cable after I tried with WiFi. Firmware Version is 3.18.1 and Hardware Version V6

Hey, the latest firmware for 940N V6 is 180119 , ensure the current one is up to date.

Besides, try to fix channel as channel 1, 6 and 11 and find the best one, change channel width to 40MHz.

 

Still the same, contact their tech support to check the warranty.
