I am ACT customer, and got the same router
ACT customized the router os, so we cannot update/change our DNS setting manually in the router
I am thinking to upgrade the firmware but it's not letting me.
Can you please help
Or, how can I have it as factory version , so that I can change my DNS manually

@isknurul there is no firmware available for this device to update. ww can't do anything with this router. for dns you can try dynamicdns option in the router or network settings in system.

I'm also an ACT customer and am stuck with not being able to name the SSID for both bands the same. Even my very old Asus routers allow me to do that, and in fact this is an unnecessary check/requirement. Was perfectly happy with the device automatically choosing the band before I started using this router (even though it's a very old router, ACT is stillproviding this router in July 2020 with their new connections). Tried the update available on tplink.com but it failed due to region lock.
Please help... this simple thing screws up my entire network configuration and goes against every best practice of SSID naming!

@AKH Did get any solution? I use Hathway broadband and I have the same Archer C5v4 router and 5Ghz wifi disconnects frequently. ISP doesn't even have a clue on how to fix the issue. I have tried all possible ways to upgrade the firmware but in vain.

@murugans1011 Hi, my ISP is Hathway. I have the same router provided by them and I'm facing frequent disconnects of 5Ghz wifi signal. Hathway doesn't know how to fix this issue. I've tried all possible troubleshooting including setting up the configuration what you have mentioned but the problem is not solved yet. Could you please help me if you have any firmware for this model?
