Model: Archer C1200
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 3.0.4 Build 20180122 rel.42880 (US)

How do I get "AC" turned on on my Archer C1200? I only show "N" when I do a scan of available wifi signals with my

NanoStation Loco M2 but show lots of  "AC" available wifi spots at other locations. Why is my router only showing "N" ?

Thanks,

-SD

Hello SD,

first, you can login to the web UI of the Archer C1200 to verify whether the mode of 5GHz has enabled 802.11ac.

Note: How to login:

Does your Nano station loco M2 support 5GHz? Can other devices detect the AC network of C1200?

Besides, you can try to change wireless settings, like wireless channel.

May it work.

Nice day.

Hello,

I double checked that the Nanastation Loco M2 does not support 5GHz, instead, it only supports 2.4GHz. That is why he cannot see AC network.

If need any further help, do not hesitate to contact us.

Good day.

Thank you for all the reply's and yes the Loco M2 only works with 2.4 signals. I am not sure why it is showing 802.11ac under Radio Mode when I do a scan of wifi signals to lock on to for a Orbi system and not for the tp-link router and thus while I was a bit confused and worried that my C1200 was not working correctly but since my Essential phone has ac Wi-Fi I wanted to make sure I was connection at the fasted possible connection while in my house and connected to my home network.

Thanks again for all the help.
