Archer VR600 Parental Controls and Access Control limit speed pppoe
When I try to turn on Parental Controls or Access Control (without any configuration only turn on) my connection on port WAN pppoe is limited to 100Mb/s. I get results (speedtest) about 97 Mb/s if this functions are off I get ~198 Mb/s which is near my ISP connection limit (200Mb/s). It looks like when this functions are on port WAN can't negotiate more than 100 Mb/s connections? On LAN ports there's no restriction.

Are you using the telephone line to get internet? Or using the internet cable from ISP and plug it in the WAN port?

Hey,Kolo, the VR600 has the 1000Mbps ethernet ports, theoretically, it can handle more than 200Mbps.
You can connect only one device to it by wired cable and go to speedtest.net to run the speed test. Show us the result pls.
Meanwhile, you need check the wired link speed which will affect the actual wired speed. https://www.tp-link.com/en/faq-2265.html
Besides, you can enable QoS on the web UI of VR600, do not have to set it up, just enable it to give it a go.
Finger crossed.

I have the same problem, when Parental Control is "off" the internet speed is 180Mb/s
When i move the button to "on", the speed drop to 100Mb/s
Anton suggestion did not help, enable QoS and the speed down to 55Mb/s
Any ideas?

I had the same problem with VR900. Here is my topic - Archer VR900 V2 drops speed
@Sunshine contacted senior engineers, and got this reply:
Here I got the answer:
Since our CPU chipset has a limit on performance, NAT throughput is up to 300m/s;
So our products use NAT boost or Hardware NAT function to improve the NAT throughput to 900Mbps
When we enabled Access Control, we have to use CPU to do the NAT job.
The throughput between WAN to LAN will drop according to the limit of CPU.
Thank you very much.
