Adapter that supports Wi-Fi Direct
Adapter that supports Wi-Fi Direct
Hi all,
Does TP-Link have a USB Wi-Fi Adapter that supports Wi-Fi Direct? If not can someone recommend another brand that does.
TIA
Greg

Same about the archer t4u models, how can you tell these models support it? it's not listed as a feature on the spec or there's another name for this feature there

Thank you for bring this up again.
Whether the adapters support Wi-Fi Direct is not listed on the official website now, we will ask the related department to evaluate if we can do this.
BTW, as far as I can confirm, to turn on Wi-Fi Direct, you can go into Settings -> Connections -> Wi-Fi on the computer then tap on the Wi-Fi Direct tab at the top. Your smartphone will start scanning for devices that you can connect to. Unlike with Bluetooth, there is no button or anything that you need to tap to turn Wi-Fi Direct on. Please confirm if you can find this.
Have a nice day.

Thanks @Kevin_Z it's nice to know these models mentioned on this thread do support it, if I understand correctly. I have already verified that my current adapter does not support it, but not on Windows but rather linux.

Yes, the models mentioned previously do support the Wi-Fi Direct, while we may not provide a guide how to enable it on Linux, we hope you could figure it out. You may search online on some open source websites.
