Change wifi channel on Deco M9
Hi,
I´ve setup an Deco M9 system with 3pcs of nodes. Now I see in my home when I scan for other wifi devices that all of them is in the same range of wifi channels.
( Alarm system, Camera system and so on.. )
I would like to change the wifi channel on the Deco system to 8 or higher because they are free.
I cant find any way to do this in the Deco app.. Where can I do this?
Best Regards
Rickard

Wanted to add my request into here!
I have setup another set of Decos, Deco M4 and their current 2.4Ghz operating channel is channel 4 & channel 7. Are TP-Link developers aware that there are only 3 usable channels in the 2.4Ghz spectrum? Which are 1,6,11. Ontop of this they are bonded to 40Mhz which is another HUGE no-no for the 2.4GHz band where the channels are only separated by 5Mhz unlike the 5Ghz band which have 20Mhz separation. So currently in a shared apartment building my Decos have very poor 2.4Ghz performance and they are also irritating the neighbours by knocking out their networks due to channel overlap/co-channel interference. The source of this problem may be due to an incorrect country code. My Decos have a German country code despite me being the UK. I see no option to change this.
I would also like the ability to reduce the channel bonding on 5Ghz from 80Mhz to something sensible like 20Mhz and turn-off the meshing when Decos are connected via ethernet backhaul.

Best thing you can do is get 2 Asus Routers and use AI Mesh.
Trust me it is way better than the TP-Link Garbage. I can even set the values at which point a device disconnects from one router and then connects to the mesh node. I have complete control over all the settings in the router. It is a solid system

The Bundesnetzagentur and OfCom are two independant regulatory bodies. Much like how the FCC is different to the CRTC. Whilst they have the same role in both countries, there are differences in how they specify devices to operate.
I have spent the money on the Decos now so I won't be replacing them anytime soon. Perhaps I will replace them in a few years when 802.11ax devices come along, but until then I will hold out hope that TP-Link will fix the huge usability issues of the Decos.

@Hami Yes, I agree. I can't beleive that the M9 Plus will not let you choice Wifi channel or chang IP address. It let you changing everying thing else... changing the device name, changing ip address and wifi channel is usefull.

The feature to change the wireless channel manually has been forwarded to our product engineer team and they will evaluate the feasibility late.
And for the LAN IP, it is changeable in regular wireless router mode under more-advanced-LAN IP page.
Good day.

This is driving me insane, I have just bought an insanely expensive sound system.
At the store they said: "leave out channel 20-30, You can do that on any standard router" - But noooo NOT on DECO, sure the Deco detects a lot of activity on channel 20-30 when I start listening to music - but they have a good fight for those channels at about 30-50 min making it impossible to listen to music....
COME ON!! TP-Link I thought I bought to state of the art - what a waste...
Does anyone know of a mesh system where you can manage your channels? I thought this was standard on TP-Link (That would have been obvious) so I don't dare buy another system without being sure...

@risa2000 rebooting them all seems to be the best way to force a channel change.
I have to do this regularly when they intelligently decide to broadcast on overlapping 2.4Ghz channels and not channels 1,6 & 11.

@Kevin_Z Any update on this? The ability to change channels manually would be a great feature for power users like us.
