Also, my internet connection drops randomly very frequent. Any idea?
Hardware version : TL-WR941HP v2.0
Firmware version 2.0.1 Build 20171225 Rel. 60160
Big thanks !

Just upgraded to Build 20191125 Rel. 54756 and problem is still there. No solution form TPLINK. I give up and will discard the router. This router gives connectivity to a small enterprise and my time and the loss of money is greater thans router´s cost.
Will take a look at Cisco/Linksys or Asus. I promised myself not to use TPLink any longer not even
Thanks all for posting.

Hello, sorry to respond late. Please make sure you are tagging a TP-Link Admin if you want a timely response. Unless we are tagged we do not see that new responses have been added. We do not subscribe to every thread so rely on Tagging to ensure responses.
As per the wireless disconnect issue, try a mobile app to analyze the WiFi around you, review all the wireless channels. Next, review the channels on the router. If the channels match that around you, an indication of overcrowded. Manually adjust the channels to lesser use channels.
There are possibly other wireless parameters that need tweaking, such as Power Transmit, narrow or wide band, etc. but start with the above and below link:
https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/200588
BTW, ensure the firmware of your router is up-to-date, it is suggested to reset the router to factory and reconfigure it from scratch.
Good days.

hi @Kevin_Z NOT SOLVED
thanks for the answer, but still the same issues... no workarounds can apply here because my router is correctly configured and upgraded.
Why is the LOG reporting that stuff ? It's insane.. and connection from wireless clients still drops at least 1 or 2 times per minute.. for 10 sec aprox.
Wired clients as TV works great, wifi doesn`t, 20 centimeters or 20 meters away from router.
DHCP assigns IP correctly it doesn`t disconnect, no blacklisted devices, signal is okey, there is something else. cpu load goes from 32% to 54% and 100% sometimes... memory is generally at 36 or 37%
Check log, it is configured to restart 5am and then goes crazy.. It got like 48 pages of logs and growing..

Hi, thanks for the update.
Sorry that there is currently no newer firmware update for it.
May I know how many wireless devices are connected to the WR941HP most of the time, are they all encountering this disconnect issue?
When the internet drops, can these devices still get IP address which is correctly assigned by the WR941HP? How will the internet connection recover? Do you need to restart the router or just wait several minutes and it will reconnect automatically?
Try to reset the router to its factory defaults and reconfigure it from scratch, then monitor again.
BTW, when and where did you buy it?

@Kevin_Z In my case there were 6/7 devices connected via wireless and 4 wired more or less. When Internet stop, the red line from WAN is on. Wireless drop inmediatly and my notebook HP envy m7 with W10 when try to connect said me Unable to connect to wifi XXXXX . All loose his DHCP and Windows assign a new one. By the way, there was firmware updgrade to this router that is no more available from TPLINK, it was retired . Why ?

1. when the connection dropped i didnt notice the ip address, because the signal is gone.
it happened only for few seconds, and then its up again. I dont need to reboot it, it recovers by itself, but its annoying when im in the middel of video conference
2. i bought it in Indonesia, in the online shop.
3. I've done factory reset and using the latest firmware, but it didnt help.
4. im configuring it as access point, so from my main modem router im using LAN cable to TL-WR941HP.
i've tried to configure it as a router, but its worse.

Hello, can I have the detailed network layout? Is there another wireless router and did you configure the WR941HP as an Access Point as below:
https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/417/
Is the main router always stable? How about the wireless network name of the WR941HP, is it the same as the main router? Please change it to a different name if they are, and change to different wireless channels.
When its 2.4G network disappears, how about the wireless LED on the WR941HP, is it still flashing? Thanks.
