Hi

I have the Archer C9 wifi router with built in dlna server. I have an attached USB drive (500 GB, non-SSD). When I read the content of the disc through smb protocol using my android phone or windows 10 laptop all files are listed properly. Copying, deleting, renaming,  all works fine.

But, when listing files through dlna old files that once where deleted are listed and all new files are not listed. Seems that the router doesn't refresh the file list/database.

Why!? How can it be fixed?

Hi

I think it's related with the refresh mechanism of this router. I guess only re-plug the USB driver could refresh the DLNA library. This is how minidlna works and TP-Link use this open source code.

BTW, I have google how minidlna work. It will create a hidden folder in your USB driver and save the dlna list in it. You could delete this folder and the dlna function will re-scan it, build a new list.

Hi

It's not very smart if the dlna list will not auo-refresh when I add some files. I hope tplink could realize this stupid design and improve it.

Thanks.
