Hello!

I have an problem with my router Archer C8, network randomly drops out, I use the router in 5Ghz and sometime the wifi drops...this is not happening daily. I don't know what to do anymore, I performed many times the factory reset, change the channels...even sent back to warranty but the anawer was that it's working fine.

Can somebody give some advice if there is anything to do in order to fix this issue?

Thank you,

Ciprian

Assuming your ethernet is still working when the WIFI network drops so we can rule out the modem... Things I would check and try: Be sure the SSIDs are different. When you have an issue check to see what devices are on the network as one of them may be causing an issue. A lot of other devices use the WIFI bands so something unrelated to your network could be causing an issue such as baby monitors, microwaves, security cameras, wireless phones, wireless speakers, bluetooth, even RF leakage from DSL, cables, connectors, and the like. Sometimes moving the router can help if there is some type of interference.

Hello!

The ethernet is still working when the WIFI network drops, I have put the TV to the wired network because over wifi I have issues with media content, after this, no problem with TV.

I will try to move the router to another location.

Where is the best position for the router? Now it is up on the clothes closet (aprox. 1.8m).

Hi,

Change channel and channel width to avoid interference.

https://www.tp-link.com/en/faq-2292.html

Reduce number of wireless devices.

Make sure firmware is up-to-date.

Put the router in open space, not under the desk, nor up to the ceiling
