Hello - complete n00b networking questions.

I own a Deco M5 Mesh system and would like to setup a NAS for local (at home) use.

1- Is it possible to do so with the M5?

2 - Is this the best possible way to do it?

If this will work expect further questions during set up smiley

Thank you all for your time.

yes, work fine on this way.
Just use Fixed IP on NAS or assing fixed IP into Deco network. (Address Reservation).

I have my NAS setup like this and it's fine...I actually have the 2 deco pucks on second switch attached to the first. NAS is on the first switch like your diagram.

@Foxtrot1987

I try to set up the same configuration with deco m4r and devices connected to switch are not visible. I check cables and switch with another router and there all works great.

Now slave deco work only with master by wifi ...

What i do wrong ? How to find solution.

@Foxtrot1987
Hello there. Recently got Deco M4 and want to configure my NAS into Deco in Router Mode.
One question based on your diagram: do you attach a separate router to act as a switch for your NAS plus other Deco units?
NAS works in Deco but only in AP mode and I want to use the Antivirus and Parental Controls of Deco.
Thanks.
