Problems with TL-WA850RE

I bought this range extender and have it plugged into the wall and connected to my PC via Ethernet. However, every so often it completely drops connection. I lose all my online data, and I have tried everything. Firmware is updated, I have turned off the DHCP, I have changed DNS, everything I could think of. What else can I do? Why is this not working?
