Hi all,

I bought my Tl-WR841N to use it as as Range Extender and when I select the Range Extender function i get the following message:

Error code: 9806

Error Unknown!

I have installed firmware: TL-WR841N(US)_V13_180119 to try to fix the problem but still no result! Has anyone experienced a similar problem? Can it be used as a range extender? Is there a different version for EU (Greece) in terms of firmware?

Hey, generally speaking, we can't update EU version to US version.

US version can be only used for US region.

Did you buy this router from US? Before you update TL-WR841US V13_180119, is it EU or US version?

If it's EU version, you may damage the device by wrong updating because we even can't update back to EU anymore.

Thank you for your reply. I bought the device from EU. I have tried both EU and US version with no result. It is not difficult to swap between versions, even if they are from different regions. Both versions had the same problem!
