Hi,
I was wondering if the Deco M5 uses a mesh multi-hop system. There can be 1 main Deco, which connects to the modem right? You connect the second Deco to the main Deco connected to the modem. For the third Deco, does it need to connect to the main Deco or can it just connect to the second Deco.

Full multi-hop

 

 

Slaves Deco's connect when got best performace and balance, here sometimes custom_2 connect at 3 or 5. clients metter to connection distribution.

How much speed loss will there be for Custom_2 since it needs 2 hops to connect to the main Deco?

 

My 3rd Deco is similar to Custom_2, but mine suffers from around 70% speed loss (Main Deco: 100 Mbps; 3rd Deco: 30 Mbps). 😩
