Everything is gigabit Ethernet enabled with the right cables etc, some of the cables feel a little loose at the ends, it’s tough because of the distance they have to travel to look after the unless there is some ultra sturdy cable available

They havnt been much use really. They did offer to replace the adaptors upon reciept, but I have mis placed the reciept, so my fault I guess. Anyway I done a reset using the plugs in the kitchen then put them back into router and desktop, had no issues since then,

Fingers crossed this is the end of my woes. im still getting between 400-500 mbps on the software, ill assume that is ok, its hard to tell, some tell me its slow whilst others say its ok

That's within a normal range of link speeds between adaptors. Actual transfer rates are significantly lower than the link speed.
