Hi,

I recently purchased a TP LInk ARCHER VR400 router. My previous ISP router got fried and in the process, i think it damaged my ps4 pro etherent port. I can no longer use a lan cable on the ps4. VR400 had a good rating for its 5GHz Wifi and it works really good with all device in my household, even the ps4 when downloading and so on, but when playing online or in party chats, its constantly getting disconnected with "nat type errors" even tho im on nat type 2. Ive tried everything from creating a static IP to placing it in a DMZ to even downloading spotify(some one suggested it was causing issues)....but no luck.
Please help. i had no issues previously with a lower end, 4 year old router but this newer one is making life difficult as a gamer who just wants to play GR Wildlands PVP with friends

you put the correct ip address of ps4 in the router DMZ settings? did you reboot router after that?
you can contact tp-link support maybe they have better suggestion.

I have a strange feeling it has to do with the 5ghz connection. A lot of threads are saying its not the best to use if the router is not directly next to the ps4. I will test it out on 2.4ghz and see if it makes a difference. My router is a room away from the ps4, a few feet but there is a wall between them.

5Ghz wireless is better then 2.4ghz in the short distance while 2.4Ghz is more stable and can cover a larger area than 5ghz.
