Hi, i just bought tp link TL-WN881ND V2 and installed the driver from tp-link website. But sadly it won't connect to any hotspot even though the signal are full. I even tried to use my phone as hotspot and it is litterally just next to it but it still won't connect.
It always said "can't connect to the network."

I'm using windows 10. Any idea how to solve this?

Does your other device like mobile phone, tablet can connect to the hotspot? Shut down/uninstall firewall, antivirus if any, reinstall the adapter driver, if it can connect, then you can enable firewall.

@lycantrophs same issue with TL-WN881ND.  Started happening after recent Windows 10 update.  Were you able to find a solution?

@Hoekstes Hi,

Sorry for the late response.

Here is the latest driver for TL-WN881N V2, please give it a try:

https://www.tp-link.com/support/download/tl-wn881nd/

Could TL-WN881N adapter connect to Wi-Fi signal from router? Is this issue only with the Hotspot Wi-Fi?

You could create a Hotspot using a different mobile phone, tablet and see if that works . Please let us the Model of device which used as Hotspot, thank you.

@Solla-topee Thank you for responding!

I am at work at the moment and the problem is at home, I'll check your driver and report back tonight.  I downloaded the driver from the internet when I installed the Wi-Fi card a month ago, has it been updated since?

The problem occurs intermittently with my Wi-Fi router as well as my mobile phone hotspot (iPhone XR) (which I only used for testing purposes).  The router is situated only a couple of meters away from the pc and the signal strength always indicates 100%.  I'll have to check the model of the router, but it is made by Huawei and connects to the internet via 4G.  I don't experience problems with the router on any other devices (phones, tablets, laptops, Samsung tv etc).

Thank you for your input.

@lycantrophs

Hello, I've encountered a similar problem. After turning my PC off and connecting new RGB GPU stand and a new monitor, I can't connect to any Wi-Fi network. I've managed to connect to a network one or two times, but the connection went down after 10-60 seconds. I've tried reinstalling drivers using Windows or TP-Link's driver .exe file, but nothing helped. Even using console commands didn't work! Now, after typing ipconfig all Wi-Fi elements have "media disconnected" status. I use USB hotspot from my iPhone, but it's not the solution.

Please, help me! I'm going mad because of this problem!

@PaweloPawlo Hello,

Sorry for the delayed update. It does not sound like a driver problem but could be  bad contact or interference:

To exclude the issue, can  you remove the GPU bracket for a test.

1. Please also make sure TL-WN881ND is properly plugged into the PCIE slot, not get loose or youcould try a different PCIE slot for it.

2. Adjust the antenna for TL-WN881ND at different directions and make sure antenna is fixed.

@Solla-topee Thanks for your answer!

I've tried replugging it into PCI-E slot, but it didn't help. Antennas are OK. I simply bought a new Wi-Fi card (Archer T4E), because I had enough because of this TL-WN881ND. This new card is working well, so I deciced to sell WN, maybe someone will buy. repair and use it.

Thanks again for answer! :D
