Hi all,

I'm trying to access my external HD, connected and configurated in Archer C7 v4.
I using Windows 10 Fall Creators. I'm having error when try access by network sharing. Seems that Archer C7 implements SMB v1 that is not more supported by Microsoft due to security reasons.
I'm using last firmware in Archer C7 v4.

Is it correct?
This router doesn't implement SMB v2 or above?

Regards, JP.

Hi,

Yes, TP-LINK will support SMB V2 in the future, and you can enable SMB 1 on Windows 10: Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows Features on or off > check the box for "SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support"

Thanks for your help!
I can see this in last firmware update, published in March 28th: "2. Supported the SMBv2 protocol." ( https://www.tp-link.com/us/download/Archer-C7.html#Firmware)
But, even after update the firmware, I can't access the folder...

Regards, JP.
