Hello experts,

When I try a DSL speed test I get this message upon download test: "Well, you're offline. Check your internet connections, get back online, and retest your speed.".
..but I can download.

What's up?!
Thanks
Firmware Version:0.3.0 0.9.1 v006c.0 Build 170809 Rel.42095n
Hardware Version:Archer VR2800 v1 00000000

That seems the built-in Speedtest interface in VR2800 is unavailable, you could contact TPLink support and i think they will have beta firmware for your issue.

I wrote to support @tp-link.com ...but no answer by now.
Can you suggest me the best channel to contact the suport for this?

Same problem for me too. Everything seems to be working fine but I get the same error message when trying to use the router built in speed test.

Already have done. Their support team have suggested changing the DNS from 0.0.0.0 to 8.8.8.8 in the routers management page. They reckon current setting could be blocking the speedtest function? I haven't tried this yet but do you have any idea what effect changing this setting will have? I'm reluctant to make changes as the router is working perfectly in every other respect so I don't want to cause new issues when I can use another speed test anyway. Thanks.

8.8.8.8 is a google public dns server, as far as i know, it won't affect the usage.

I tried the 8.8.8.8 setting and it does not fix the issue for me. Will stick with other tools for this for now, minor issue.

@freewing

I`ve had the same problem, but the speed test DID work for a few days then suddenly tells me I`m offline when I`m not. Quite strange!
