Hello,

I bought a RE500 Range Extender, Wi-Fi is working very well.

However, as reported on this website

I saw a LOT of NTP traffic from the RE500. I then upgraded its firmware to the latest available (1.0.2, released December 2017), but the situation has not changed. The Range Extender is still by FAR the most NTP-talkative device on my whole network.

On TP-Link website, I see on the RE650 firmware download page the following release notes :

New Features/Enhancements:
Improved Online detection method and reduced unnecessary data traffic.

Bug fixes:
1. Fixed the WPA2 Security (KRACKs) Vulnerability.
2. Fixed the issue that unable to access the web interface normally via iOS Safari in some situation.

This interesting "Improved Online detection method and reduced unnecessary data traffic" mention does not appear on the RE500 firmware download page, showing only :
Bug fixes:
1. Fixed the WPA2 Security (KRACKs) Vulnerability.
2. Fixed the issue that unable to access the web interface normally via ISO Safari in some situation.
I suspect the NTP traffic issue has not been addressed in latest RE500 firmware. Is a new firmware update to be released to fix this issue ? Thank you !
