RE500 - Latest 1.0.2 firmware, still lots of NTP traffic

Hello,
I bought a RE500 Range Extender, Wi-Fi is working very well.
However, as reported on this website
I saw a LOT of NTP traffic from the RE500. I then upgraded its firmware to the latest available (1.0.2, released December 2017), but the situation has not changed. The Range Extender is still by FAR the most NTP-talkative device on my whole network.
On TP-Link website, I see on the RE650 firmware download page the following release notes :
This interesting "Improved Online detection method and reduced unnecessary data traffic" mention does not appear on the RE500 firmware download page, showing only : I suspect the NTP traffic issue has not been addressed in latest RE500 firmware. Is a new firmware update to be released to fix this issue ? Thank you !
