Rooter in access point mode doesn't after shut down
Model : Archer C50
Hardware Version : V2
Firmware Version :
ISP : Proximus (Belgium)
Hello,
I have a problem with my TP Link Archer C50.
I live in a house with two floors ; on the ground floor, if have the rooter of my ISP and on the first floor, I set up my Archer C50, using RJ45 ports because my house is wired.
Firstly, I set up the Archer C50 in "normal" configuration, using DHCP and WAN port : I had then two networks, and good internet connection everywhere in the house.
Then, in order to have a single network (better to control Sonos, Chromecast, Shield TV, ... from all floors in all floors), I set up the Archer C50 in "access point" configuration. I followed the FAQ in order to do so (no DHCP for Archer C50, fixed IP address of Archer C50 in main rooter, LAN port) and it worked : I had then my wished single network, with the ability to connect from everywhere to all connected devices.
Unfortunetaly, as my house is "smart", some power sockets (including the one of my Archer) can be shut down - when everybody sleeps or if house is empty ; it limits the Wi-Fi waves when not needed. After the first shut down of the Archer C50 in "acces point" mode, that was no more possible to connect devices to Internet on the first floor. They were busy looking for an IP address, but not getting one. I then had to go back to the "normal" configuration, that I don't want to use anymore.
Do you have a way to solve it ?
Thanks in advance,
Pierroda.
