Model :

Hardware Version :

Firmware Version :

ISP :

I have an Owncloud server at home that I connect to via HTTPS and domain name which points to home networks WAN address, port forwarded to host.
The speed however is ridiculously slow from the same network. Way worse than old 56k modem. So I'm guessing Deco have buggy routing.
This was not a problem with my old router.

I have latest firmware update fresh from today.

Investigated speeds using Iperf3:

Hi,

Is the Deco working as a main router? No double NAT in your network, right? Is the connection type PPPoE or Dynamic IP on the Deco?

What port numbers are you using on the Cloud sever?

Yes Deco is the main router and behind it is only a switch.I am using Dynamic IP (with reserved IP from ISP).Ports 80,443 on web server.

I tried disabling trend micro security features but that didn't help.

Have you forwared port 5021 to the server? even though you were within the network, but you need to forward this port, otherwise no traffic would go through which is exactly the issue you were having there.
You know on the iperf server you can specify the port iperf listens for example: "iperf -s -p(lowercase) portNumber".
Hope this helps.

I see the same problem to a local server running the home automation system Home Assistant.

From outside the network it's really fast but going from local wifi or wired network to the external address/fqdn the speed is so poor the website hardly loads.

I think i need to stop using the Deco as my main router and go back to my old router and just use Deco as and AP.

It's a shame as I bought the Deco yesterday to use as my main router.

I also am missing portforward to IP's that the Deco for some reason does not detect. As far as I know there is no way to manually specify an IP manually.

Very disappointed about these issues :(

Hi Lajo,

I believe the reason why the Deco cannot detect some of your devices, was because these devices doesn't get IP from Deco.
As soon as you turn on the DHCP for these devices, you should be able to see them on the Deco and then you can reserve these addresses for them with a few clicks.

For your home assistant, is there anywhere to configure the port its using? change the port to 8282 or something that's not familiar to anyone and forward these ports on the Deco.
