Model : Archer T8E AC1750
Hardware Version : Ver: 1.0
Firmware Version :
ISP :
Today I updated to Windows 10 Creators Update Fall (version 1709 {OS Build 16299.19}) and now my network adapter fails - bad driver.
I've uninstalled, reinstalled, downloaded the windows 10 drivers from http://www.tp-link.com.au/download/Archer-T8E.html#Driver and tried everything I can think of.
It works with Win7, 8.1 and 10 until today, with the Fall update.
Anybody else have the same issue, or any suggestions for other drivers?

Got driver from tp-link support for new update win 10 version:
Tried both, but neither work for me. I've got a T8E card, but thought I'd try them anyway.

Thanks for sharing! I will try it later. I wonder why they didn't publish it
here as an official driver for the latest Win10 updates.

Hard to say whether it is Microsoft issue or the driver, I learned that some people solved by change PCI or reinstall the driver , some tried the same, method , still not working

T6E http://support.tp-link.com/f/858fb0a490/
T9E http://support.tp-link.com/f/3004339080/
instruction to manually install the driver:
http://www.tp-link.com/en/faq-920.html
I tried the T9E update. Unfortunately the "This device cannot start. (Code 10)" error remains.
Btw. I also experienced a contrast issue on build 1709 on both of my screens. AFTER signing-in to my user account, the contrast gets suddenly very high which is strange. On my lock screen the colors look fine. Is anyone else having a similar issue? I guess these are bugs in the latest Windows builds. Once again I did a rollback to 1703, since this build works fine for me.

Will give it try.
TP-link also ask me to try another PCI-E slot. Maybe it can help.
You guys can email support@tp-link.com, provide them more information, perhaps the issue will be solved quicker.

This device cannot start. (Code 10)
I am having his same issue with Archer T8E how-Ever my build is not 1709 or 1703 it is Win 10 pro build 16299...I have tried removing the drivers reinstalling using the latest drivers available from the TP-Link official web site. I also tried removing the card and installing to a PCI-1 slot that did not work either. also tried installing drivers in safe mode. Same issue persist. Does anyone have a resolution for this issue as of yet?

No resolution for Windows version 1709 (OS Build 16299) but later versions available as Windows Insider builds do not have this issue, and existing drivers (from 2015) work again. If you cannot use an ethernet cable, you will either have to roll back to 1703, or download and install an Insider version which can have other issues.Or buy a different brand wifi adapter.
We can only hope MS will fix the issue in a future official update.

Problem finally resolved!!
2018-01-05 05:00:00
Last night my computer installed update KB4056892 (for 64 bit) and updated Windows 10 to 16299.192
Although not specifically mentioned in the improvements and fixes included in this update, my T8E adapter is working again after being down for 3 months since the Fall update.
I had tried all the fixes mentioned without success, but left the adapter installed with the latest driver, 17.35.317.1 dated 6/10/2015 and suddenly this morning it's working again as it should!
Better update if your computer hasn't already!

I had the same problem with TL-WN832N. I solved it this way: Leave it plugged in and go to Control Panel - Programs and Features (if Control Panel disappeared after 1703 (?) Run command "Control"). Uninstall TP-LINK***. Download latest drivers from TP-Link site, un-ZIP it and run Setup.exe. In my case exclamation point and Code 10 cleared and i was able to connect to my Wi-Fi.
