Just received new TL- WR841N router and tried to connect it up direct to the ASDL phone socket. This causes the telephone line to disconnect. Any suggestions welcome!

TL-WR841N is a wireless router, I don't think you can directly connect it to a ADSL phone socket. It's not a ADSL modem
